American Curriculum

American Curriculum

Students pursue the American curriculum at Corvuss. The Curriculum is based on American Common Core State Standards for English Language, Arts, Math, History/Geography, and Next Generation Science Standards for Science.

At the end of high school, students at Corvuss, who successfully complete all their requirements, will be awarded a Diploma and also provided with a Grade Point Average (GPA). The GPA is an average score based on a student’s high school performance taking into account, tests, mid-term/final exams, essays, quizzes, homework assignments, classroom participation, group work, projects and attendance.

We made this decision after months of research in conjunction with our academic advisors based in Princeton, N.J. while other international curriculum also are robust, they can be rigid in their framework and requirements.

The American curriculum at our boarding school offers tremendous flexibility for the student athlete, allowing him or her to focus on academics as well as training, nutrition and conditioning, honing their skills without feeling the pressure of those requirements and timeframes.

The Academic Curriculum

An innovative and comprehensive academic curriculum that empowers students to excel academically, fosters critical thinking skills, and cultivates a passion for lifelong learning.

What is NCAA?

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) is a membership-driven organization in the United States, dedicated to safeguarding student-athlete well-being and equipping them with the skills to succeed on the playing field, in the classroom and throughout life.

The NCAA supports learning through sports by integrating athletics and higher education to enrich the college experience of student-athletes and making college sports a pathway to opportunity. More than 1,100 NCAA members – mostly colleges and universities– work together to create a framework of rules for fair and safe competition.

The three-division structure creates a fair playing field for like-minded schools and provides student-athletes with a wide spectrum of opportunities to participate in 90 championship events. The NCAA is committed to providing opportunity for more than 460,000 college student-athletes who compete annually in college sports.
