About Nudge Sports

Nudge Sports is an omni channel enterprise that is focused on making mental conditioning for performance enhancement and mental wellness an integral part of the athletes’ and team’s overall training program.

We work with a team of more than 80 Sport Psychologists across the country and offer mental conditioning sessions for performance enhancement and mental wellness of the athlete.

Social Emotional Counseling Corvuss
Corvuss American Academy has collaborated with Nudge Sports Pvt Ltd to offer sports psychology, social-emotional counselling and general counselling support. The objective to work individually as well as in a group setting with student-athletes in helping them with their mental well-being and performance enhancement.

Nudge Sports through its team of sport psychologists and counsellors are always focussed on the holistic development of a student athlete. Thus a student athlete is able to meet the challenges not just on the field or court of play but also with academics.

Each student-athlete undergoes a detailed psychometric assessment and a personalized one on one program is developed based on their individual needs.

About Katha Sonaniskar (SE Counselor)

Katha Sonaniskar (Deshmukh) is a Sport and Exercise Psychologist with over three years of experience working with athletes between the ages of 10 and 25, from young beginners to elite performers. She holds a Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology from Staffordshire University, UK.

Drawing from her own background as an athlete — having competed in yoga, modern pentathlon, equestrian sports, and endurance events — Katha brings a grounded and practical approach to mental training. Her methods are structured and science-backed, yet rooted in empathy and real-world understanding. She believes that every athlete’s journey is unique, and that mental training should be tailored to reflect that individuality.

Katha also emphasizes the importance of collaboration among the athlete’s support system — parents, coaches, and strength trainers — to create an aligned and communicative environment where true growth can occur.

 

Based in Kalyan, Mumbai, Katha works closely with athletes to build resilience, focus, and confidence, empowering them to perform at their best both in sport and in life. Outside of work, she enjoys swimming, practicing yoga, and spending time in her garden.

Amit Gadkari

CEO and founding trustee of Cricketers’ Foundation- India’s pioneering sports philanthropy and development trust for mental health training and conditioning programs for teenage Mumbai cricketers. 

Over 27 years experience in leadership positions across India and the Middle East while working with global brands including Montblanc, Villeroy & Boch, Fila and Marcolin Eyewear, and industry leaders such as the RPG Group, Reliance Industries, Marico and Irasva. 

Played age group cricket and badminton for Mumbai and holds a strong pulse on performances and development within the global sporting environment. 

Amruta Karkhanis Deshmukh

Over 14 years of experience in sports, exercise, teaching and sport counselling.

National Champion in Triathlon, Cycling and record holding sea swimmer. 

Believes that “One’s opponents are not outside, but rather inside” and Mental Training  can help student-athletes actualize their true Performance Excellence.

Awarded “Shiv Chatrapati Rajya Krida Puraskar” for her excellence in cycling by the Govt. of Maharashtra.

Works with athletes, coaches, parents, and multidisciplinary sports science teams to enhance athletic performance and mental well-being through research-driven and evidence-based practices.

Works closely with athletes to build mental resilience, improve focus, and develop the psychological skills required to meet the demands of competitive sport.

Former elite gymnast and gymnastics coach.

Integrates athletic background with expertise in Psychological Skills Training and athletic counselling. 

M.Sc. in Sport and Exercise Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychological Health and Behavioural Sciences.

About Kelley John (SE Counselor)

Kelley holds an M.A. in Psychology with a specialization in Lifespan Counselling from St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Mumbai, and a MSc Sport and Exercise Psychology degree from Leeds Beckett University, UK. A National-level hockey player and bronze medalist at Khelo India, Kelley has been a Sports Authority of India (SAI) hockey athlete, allowing her to draw upon her own experience in helping student-athletes optimize their performance on and off the field.

Drawing on her own experience as a student athlete, Kelley helps athletes optimize their mindset for peak performance both on the field and in the classroom. Her approach integrates mental health support with mental skills training to holistically develop the individuals she works with. She also employs experiential therapeutic methods in her practice to foster deeper understanding and growth.

Kelley is currently the Social Emotional Counselor at Corvuss American Academy, where she provides individual and group counseling, delivers Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) workshops, offers specialized support for students with special needs, and conducts mental training for student athletes.an
