Covering 44 acres of lush green land, Corvuss American Academy catches your eye at first glance. However, this innovative institution has much more than meets the eye. Corvuss is India’s first international boarding school designed for student-athletes. Sports and academics, leadership and character development are equally important at Corvuss, which offers top-tier learning experiences designed to give student-athletes a fulfilling educational experience in sports and beyond.
One characteristic that sets Corvuss apart from other schools is that its curriculum follows a US education curriculum modeled after some of the most prestigious schools in the United States. The Corvuss curriculum follows a US prep school model based on the American Common Core State Standards for the core subjects of English, language arts, history and geography, math, and science. When they finish high school, students at Corvuss will receive an accredited high school diploma as long as they complete all required courses. They will also get their final Grade Point Average (GPA), a barometer of their academic high school performance that accounts for tests, essays, homework assignments, quizzes, participation, projects, group work, mid-term and final exams, and attendance. The renowned educational program at Corvuss was designed in collaboration with academic advisors in Princeton, NJ, which is also home to some of the most elite educational institutions in the US. Although other international schools offer rigorous programs, most have more rigid scheduling for their students. Corvuss, on the other hand, offers quite a bit of flexibility for student-athletes. Students here enjoy a well-rounded and nurturing experience that allows them to integrate their academic studies with sports training and related health and wellness measures, including nutrition and strength conditioning. All in all, students can enjoy learning in a relaxed environment without feeling the pressure of having to make a choice to prioritize one mission component over another.
Middle School Curriculum
The academic agenda at Corvuss can be further divided into the middle school years, grades 6-8, and the high school years, grades 9-12.
The middle school years are formative for children. The Corvuss curriculum keeps this transition in mind. When they start 6th grade, students transition from elementary school to middle school. They learn to become better students and student-athletes. The program at Corvuss, which is a boarding school, has the overarching agenda of fostering self-discipline, creative thinking, teamwork, and independence. Students study various academic programs during this time, including science, social studies, English, and math. World language courses are also included. In the final year of middle school, students add more subjects to their plate, including the Science of Fitness.
High School Curriculum
Students learn even more when they enter high school in 9th grade. At the Corvuss American Academy, instructors work on developing their students’ social skills and academic skills to help their students succeed at their chosen university and beyond. The high school program consists of four years of study, and students take a minimum of six subjects each year. The core curriculum includes four years of English, math, science, and social studies. Students must also take a world language for two years and complete a series of elective courses chosen from government/civics, economics, entrepreneurship, and healthcare. When they complete their high school studies, students receive the equivalent of a US high school diploma from Corvuss, which then prepares them for higher education studies at colleges and universities in the US, India, and other countries around the world.
Sports Programs
Along with academics, Corvuss also offers an exceptional sports program in swimming, tennis, track and field, squash, football, basketball, and cricket. All of these sports programs are led by prestigious expat coaches. They have been designed with the school’s internationally renowned partners, including sports partners in the US and around the world. The partners that Corvuss works with have a professional background in working with athletic directors and scouts at leading Ivy League schools, international universities, and NCAA colleges. They work with promising student-athletes to help place them in the school of their choice, where they can excel in academics and sports.

A Pathway to College
For parents, one of the most important considerations when choosing a football academy, tennis academy, or any sports academy is how well the institution will prepare their child for college. Fortunately, Corvuss has an experienced staff, including instructors and resident counselors, who work with sports coaches and partners to help students meet their academic and sports goals when they are looking for colleges internationally and in India. Parents and students can learn how the school and its partners can prepare them for sports programs and academic studies, including studying for the SATs and ACTs.
A National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Education
The NCAA is an organization located in the US. The NCAA is designed to shepherd student-athletes through college by providing them with essential life skills they can use on the playing field and in the classroom. They’ll also learn life skills that will help them outside of a sports and college setting. Through the NCAA, students create new pathways and seek new opportunities by combining the sports they love with academic studies. The NCAA today has more than 1,100 members, primarily colleges and universities, that work to create the rules and framework for safe and fair competition. This structure creates a safe playing and learning environment for student-athletes and gives them many opportunities to participate in close to 100 championship events. In total, the NCAA gives opportunities to over 460,000 college students.
Parents can rest assured knowing their children will get a good education at Corvuss. Corvuss is a Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and every student who graduates Corvuss automatically meets the NCAA academic requirements to be eligible to participate in College athletic programs. It is also respected and recognized by colleges and universities around the world. An education at Corvuss can help prepare your child for success in various disciplines worldwide. Students who earn a degree from Corvuss more than satisfy the admissions criteria for admission to US colleges and universities on an academic basis. They are also qualified to compete in collegiate sports. That makes for a winning combination for student-athletes who want to excel in their chosen sport and academic programs. Diplomas issued by Corvuss are also accredited by the Association of Indian Universities, along with the Accrediting Commission for Schools.
Ultimately, Corvuss helps educate and shape student-athletes to become tomorrow’s leaders. Students attend prestigious and rigorous programs to develop the skills they need to grow and become leaders on the playing field, in the classroom, and in life. Independent thinking, communication, and collaboration are encouraged to help students recognize their full potential and become world leaders and outstanding citizens who can have positive impacts on the world.
